    Hola from Algiers!!!

    Hola everybody!!
    To introduce myself i'd say:

I'm Assia, 20 years old. I study medicine at "La Faculté de Médecine d'Alger" (in Algiers ) in Algeria. I pass to the 4th year.

I can speak arabic, french and a bit of english (so please, excuse my mistakes )... i'm sorry that i don't speak spanish but i'm on holydays so i'll try to learn a little of it.

Don't speak spanish...the question is what i'm doing here?? curiosity seems to be a good reason!

I don't like the old man in the avatar...

What can i say too... i don't know. If you have any questions, ask me, i'd be glad to answer you!!

    Ciao!!

You are welcome to Mancia, and you can ask us whatever you want. Most of us speak english, or at less we can read it. In my case, I´m 25 years old and I`m just in the 2 year (It is very common in the University of Buenos Aires). I´m studying now phisiology and biochemistry.
How did you know Mancia? It is so far away. I see : Maybe searching in Google. Am I right?
you can e-mail to gustavocorrea231@hotmail.com , where I use the msn messenger.
    Bye

Nah... i was kidding.. but please, oh please, do tell how you did it...

    Welcome!!
    Thank you Mateo!

    I'll tell you my secret:
I started school at the age of 5 and half :
    • 6 years in the primary school + 3 years in the middle elementary classes (that we can call "collège" in french) + 3 years in the high school (in french: lycée) => I had my baccalauréat (the final exam of the high school, it's the key to the university) at 17 (and half).
    • Then I started medicine studies (we can start university directly, there's no intermediate classes and the university is free). Now, I've finished the 3rd year and I'm on holydays since june 1st.
*I'm not in the and of career: here, medecine studies last 7 years (+ some other years if we do a spéciality)

The only secret is that i've gained one year because the official age to start school in Algeria is 6 and i've started at 5, that's all!

(I don't know how you call the différent steps of éducation (the successive schools) sorry!)

Now, tell how you did to be so old and in the beginning of your career!! (i'm kiddinng too )

Well... school is more or less like yours.. We begin elementary at the age of 5 or 6 depending if you were born before or after July respectively.. Elementary lasts 7 years..
Then comes highschool, which lasts 5 years.. At the end you are 17 or 18 years old, if you didnt repeat any year..

Then, for the university Im attending, you have a first year called CBC (Comun Basic Cycle) which has almost nothing to do with the career.. And once you pass it, you enter first year of medicine...

So, I finished highschool with 18 years old, did the CBC properly.. but I had to repeat first year..
