I wanted to know if someone could tell me about working and specializing in the UK.
Any information is useful, thank you!!
I found this :
First of all you have to spend 1 year as a Junior House Officer. During this time you are being paid by hospital. Most of the specialization don’t have this first step(only Internal Medicine and Surgery) but start with a position as a Senior House Officer during 2-3 years. During this time you are responible for many things in the hospital and you have a person who is supervising you. After this you become in Registrar during 4-5 years more. After all you have a examination in the surgical specialities and an evaluation by the Joint Training Committe in the medical ones. If you pass it you can gain the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training.
You have to be written in the British medical Council as a Pre House Officer. Or you can do it with the Medical agencies that makes to you all the application procedure
