can i ask u something? what do u mean by "i hate everything that has to do with english" ? u mean u hate americans and english people?
Well, im very sorry to dissapoint you, but THE PPL FROM USA (we are amercians too, so they don`t own the "title") are the most disgusting thing I`ve ever experienced, and I wish they get what they give, doubled. I know you worked for the same company I do, and that you really like them (in fact, you have a boyfriend, who`s from US), but I dont.

In fact, I hate them so much that I really wish the worst for them, because I think that they diserve it. However, I know that there are good ppl out there, who`s great, but the majority are rednecks and xenophobics and they think that they own the entire freakin world, and if you are not from US, you are a F#CKING INDIAN/N1GGER...and believe me: I`ve been taking calls for one year and a half now, and as I speak with at least 150 ppl average per day, I know this for a fact.

Im sorry to be so negative, and its not my goal to fight you either, but is how I feel about them, and there is nothing that I can do about that.

SaluDS!

I think I read over there that you both guys worked at Teletech... I also did, and believe me, I hated it...
Luckily I just spent three months there, but they were enough to make me feel extremely nervous...
And it´s true, they hung up the phone as if you could make them pick an illness... I don´t know why they feel so important... they don´t give a sh*t you´re working, they just think you want to bother them, and that´s false!! Pretty disgusting people to deal with...

I love the English language, and even more the British accent but it's too hard to reproduce. Back to the original topic, I believe that English is a really good addition to one's knowledge, it opens lots of doors to new opportunities and it let you be updated.

And about the people from the USA all I can say is that if you talk to the ones that live in the south and you're not from the USA you won't get a warm welcome, in fact the will try to kill you if they can (not really but may seem like they would), rednecks are kind of nasty, but if you talk with people from the north part of the country you'll realize that they're good people, and you really can't tell about a country's personality by phone, everyone gets pist off when they get bothered with things that are trivial or you are not interested in, it's even worse when you are in a technician position answering for products or services that are not working as they should.

i think that all kind of generalisation is totally wrong. there arent good/bad people in the US, there are NORMAL people!
dont speak about them cause work, cause of course theyll answer wrong. ive worked for a call center and still i answered terrible wrong when a girl called me one day from my biochemestry exam to ask me about TELERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!(after realising that the girl was working i asked for sorry but not everybody thinks that) and hey! im from Argentina!!
my brother worked for CTI Argentina and he told me that the people sucked! that they treated him pretty bad and everything.
go to a bar, talk with several english speakers (i can only talk about people from the US cause i dunno any british person) and then u can tell me if they are nice or not
im sorry it just pissed me off that people generelise so much.
and i dont see the point of keeping talking about this so im gonna stop here :P
just giving out my opinion,
love, Agus

Americans are just as bad as the rest of us. They simply get to be more loud about it, and thus get more press.

u are right with that one, people from the US, the thing is that as their country is called "united states of america" they make it shorter to "america" and --> americans.
but u are def TOTALLY right with that thing, im sorry :P

I agree with you, but i think this: example, the complete name of Mexico is Estados Unidos Mexicanos ( I think, or was it another country) and we call it Mexico, the complete name of Argentina is Republica Argentina and we call it Argentina, the complete name of United States, is Unites States of America, so I think they use the last word "America" in the same way as we do.

i think that the name of this thread is wrong
cause i read very little about their culture, and a lot about prejuice, i know u have work on teletech or teleperformance or any other company like those, i work for teleperformance. then i quit. and i get a job as an electronic technician, this job give em the opportunity to travel to the US, thing that i had already done like ten years ago.
maybe they are not the most nice people to deal with, but come on, have u ever seen how we Argentinians are with the world....
come on, in a trip i made to Colombia they told me a joke the made about us and its goes like this
"how u kill an Argentinian? u get him to the top of his ego and throw him down"
so we may dislike the way they treat us, but before we criticize them we should try to see how we treat others...
im not a fanatic of US, i have my opinions, but i don´t hate them, if they are what they are is cause they work for it. u cant break any rule there, they have a system that works, so maybe instead of complaining we should try to learn whats good about them and copy, and try to see a little bit "inside home" and correct what we are doing wrong.... maybe that way we can be better persons... and maybe, just maybe, learn that anyone can criticize, but few can learn from the others instead of envy them, or whatever feeling u have.

I totally agree. It would sound stupid for them to call themselves "Unitedstatians of America", haha.
